In order to help make this an easy switch we have devised the following steps:
  1. Using the diagram, identify each wire going to your set top box:
    a. Follow the existing cables on the back of your Wave Broadband issued Set-top box and indicate on the drawing where each cable goes, this is a generic form so you may change device names as needed.
    b. We suggest marking each cable end with a piece of tape indicating the port this wire was plugged into
    c. Disconnect the power and remove the set-top box.
  2. Exchange your current set top box for a new DVR:
    a. Please make sure to bring the power cord and remote control along with your current set top box to the nearest Wave Broadband office.
    b. IF you have questions about the connections, please be sure to bring your worksheet with you when you pick up the new set top box.
  3. Installing your new Wave Broadband DVR Set top box:
    a. Reconnect each wire to the appropriate port as outlined on the worksheet.
    b. Your new DVR set top box will be ready to use is 15-30 minutes.
