TCP/IP Settings For Windows 95, 98, ME:
1) Click on START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL
2) Double Click on NETWORK
3) The Network Properties screen will appear. Choose TCP/IP>"Network Card Name". This will be the TCP settings For your specific network card. Click PROPERTIES.
4) The IP address tab will appear. Choose "Obtain IP Address Automatically"
5) Click on the GATEWAY tab at the top. The following fields should be empty. 6) Click OK at the bottom. 7) Your machine is now configured for the Internet.
TCP/IP Settings For Windows NT 4.0:
3) Click on the PROTOCOLS tab. 4) Highlight TCP/IP, click PROPERTIES button.
5) Select your network card from the Adapter list. 6) Select "Obtain an IP address from a DHCP server"
7) Click the DNS tab. All fields should be empty. Hostname field may be anything you would like. In the Domain field, type "starstream.net" 8) Click the OK button. 9) Your machine is now configured for the Internet.
TCP/IP Settings For Windows 2000:
1) Click on the START button. 2) Select SETTINGS from the menu. 3) Click NETWORK AND DIAL-UP CONNECTIONS.
4) Double Click on LOCAL AREA CONNECTION
5) Click the PROPERTIES button.
6) Highlight TCP/IP, click the PROPERTIES button.
7) Set both check boxes to: Obtain IP Address Automatically and Obtain DNS server addresses automatically.
8) Click the OK button to exit. 9) Your machine is now configured for Internet access.
TCP/IP Settings For Windows XP:
1) Click on START > CONTROL PANEL
2) Double click on NETWORK CONNECTIONS
3) Double click LOCAL AREA CONNECTION
4) Click on PROPERTIES
5) Highlight (TCP/IP), and click PROPERTIES
6) Select "Obtain an IP address automatically" 7) Select "Obtain DNS server address automatically" 8) Click OK button. 9) Your machine is now configured for Internet access.
